Slipping into gorgeous late night dining and drinks at Bali’s best lounge bar, whilst others are slipping in or out of bed for the night, is a holiday must-do – capisce? Now, when you fancy a twilight bite in Bali between the hours of sunset to sunrise, European infused dining, or a designer cocktail paired with cool tunes – just grab the gang to head out for supper at hu’u Bistro and Bar. If that’s not enough, let’s throw in an exquisite new menu – covering dinner, supper and breakfast naturally – designed by Asia’s leading ‘Dragon and Dog’ foodologists.
From May, hu’u Bistro’s entire menu has been shaken (up), not stirred – blurring the lines old favourites with new, delicious sensations. It will offer a refinement of iconic dishes, naturally veering towards Balinese cuisine but still dancing around the corners of Asia, with a slight shimmy across continents to Europe. All brought you by Asia’s two leading foodologists and mixologist, naturally.
The legendary foodologist team – aka ‘Dragon and Dog’ – consists of Benson Tong (‘Dragon), who was Head Chef of Nam Nam in Denmark (only rated the best restaurant in the world), and Jason Vito (‘Dog’), famous for his French / Pan-Asian delights along with his previous life as a radio DJ. Meanwhile, mixologist Sufian Mahmoud is behind the bar whipping up cocktails from a filing cabinet of inspiration spanning magazines, music and markets.
Unusual sensory pairings and meticulous ingredient sourcing, mostly from local farms and seas, will seduce your senses, nourish your body and gratify the soul.
It’s no surprise to us that hu’u Bar is setting a new dining scene in Bali with its bistro philosophy of soul food from sunset to sunrise. This ‘island meets city’ venue has long been known for its decadent setting and spectacular parties, so a chic new supper set makes perfect sense.
So if stylish dining at any twilight hour, beautiful flavours and liquid diamond drinks make you weak at the knees, then hu’u Bistro and Bar on Petitenget is calling your name. This new menu and supper dining concept makes it worth being and staying out of bed for!
But of course, you don’t have to stumble far in your designer PJ’s if you’re lucky enough to be staying their hu’u villas.
