As you might have noticed, Jakarta is undergoing something of a health kick. And it’s most noticeable in the way we eat from the availability of specialty health foods like quinoa and kale to all-natural cold-press juices to organic everything. Now you can eat clean and locally – and well – at Potato Head. The Pacific Place restaurant has introduced a new menu that focuses on ingredients found in our backyard.
Having done some time at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s famed ABC Kitchen in New York, executive chef Noguchi Haruhisa has kept the celebrity chef’s principles in mind when creating this new farm-to-table menu. Taking inspiration from the abundance of excellent produce that is available here, chef Haruhisa has created new dishes that still fit in with Potato Head’s international comfort food vibe.
The farm-to-table menu highlights ingredients that are organic when possible and are bought directly from local farms and markets, located in Bali, Lampung, and other parts of Indonesia. Key ingredients on the menu, including tomatoes, goat’s cheese, cocoa, and even Wagyu beef, come from local producers like Highland Farm and Heritage Farm. Healthy eating never tasted so good!
