We love Cacaote on Senopati for its sumptuous menu and its gorgeous European interiors (it’s like an Edith Wharton novel come to life, you know, without all of the sadness), so we’re super excited for its sister property St. Germain. Located in Grand Indonesia in a great location – between H&M and the flagship Pull & Bear so it’s a great place for a pick-me-up while shopping.
It’s a bit more casual at St. Germain, although the interiors are still pretty classy and classic, with a fun all-day dining and snacking menu to match. Instead of eclaires, St. Germain specialises in choux pastries, a more bite-size version of the Cacaote signatures. We recommend the lemon meringue and salted caramel, they aren’t traditional but they sure are tasty.
St. Germain also has healthy light bites including homemade granola served with dried fruits and a marscapone and yoghurt cream, and a variety of soups and salads, with the preserved tuna salad fast becoming a customer fave. We’re also very happy to report that St. Germain’s sandwiches are delicious! It’s a rare thing to find Delicious sturdy bread filled with quality ingredients and accompanied by homemade crisps on the side, but it’s here at St. Germain.
For something more substantial, try their baked egg, it’s been getting a lot of love from bloggers and foodies. And for something a lot more substantial, take on Bacon Pancake with its maple-glazed bacon, bacon crumbs, candied walnuts and bacon ice cream. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s got the whole hog! Sorry, we couldn’t resist a good pun.
