The newest member of Boga Group is finally open at Senayan City on the 5th floor, it's called Putu Made! Thank you for this amazing opportunity of trying it before it's open for public!
They have these caged bird type of seat at the front, though I don't really like siting here as it's a bit too open to passerby. This is only enough for 4 people by the way!
The food here has a Balinese flair to it, but good ol' Indonesian food is available too! Read on for more!
The interior design was done by a friend of ours from Metaphor.
The tables run along the length of the room, but for larger groups we've got round tables at the back.
A table for 4 here.
Got to try their signature foods starting from starters to desserts!
CUMI SAMBAL SEREH IDR 59K
The calamari is just right, not too tough nor crispy, yet the sambal matah is kinda lacking something for me. It's a bit too fancy for something this traditional, then again I'd have to say it's good!
RUJAK UDANG DAN JERUK BALI IDR 59K
It doesn't taste Balinese, though they use Pomelo, which is Jeruk Bali in Indonesian. My favorite is the papaya here!
EKOR TENGGIRI BAKAR IDR 165K
Yeap, this is hands down super good! The meat is thick and it got 2 types of sambal. One is sambal matah and on the side is sambal kecap, so it's both Balinese and Indonesian!
Don't worry it's not as spicy as it looks!
LAWAR KACANG PANJANG
Forgot how much it costs, I guess it's 30ish? Tastes almost like the ones in Bali!
LAWAR JAGUNG BAKAR
This tastes like grilled corn but with Balinese spices!
BEBEK GORENG UBUD (WHOLE) IDR 215K
Their proudest creation, took 5 hours to cook but I don't really like it. Tastes so-so and a bit too tough, the sambal is still good tho!
Such an extravagant platter! Almost all types of meat except for pork, though I can't really tell the difference between them..lol!
Sate Lilit Kambing, Sate Bebek, Sate Ayam Bumbu Merah, Sate Lilit Ayam, Sate Escargot, Sate Lilit Ikan. See! A complete set!
Trust me, even I, who doesn't like lamb can't really tell which is lamb..lol! I could tell which one is escargot from the shape but not the taste, cause their seasoning is super strong!
Most of their foods have strong taste, so I'd suggest eating it with rice. It's like a flavor war in your mouth cause of how strong it is..lol!
It's somewhat like Pisang Ijo but it's white and covered in shredded coconut with a side of palm sugar!
It looks like that traditional dessert, Klepon but instead of palm sugar, it's filled with jackfruit. Unexpectedly delicious!
It's 100% halal here, some might rejoice, others might question their Balinese background.Well, I guess that's how Jakarta is!
