As if an average dinner at one of Jakarta's best buffet restaurants is not indulgent enough, SATOO cracks the boundary (yet again!) of indulgence with its special SATOO Red Night that kicked off on 20th November 2014.
The highlight of the Red Night, will be of course the food. Everything from Appetizers, to Dessert will be dominated with red food items. Fresh seafood fans you'll be ecstatic to see the seafood selection here: tiger prawn, fresh pacific oysters, mussel, swimmer crab, yabbies, white clams. I feel slightly disadvantaged here, because unfortunately I'm not a fan of fresh seafood =P

The appetizers are complimented with an array of special red sauces for guests to choose, from strawberry and mango vinaigrette, raspberry vinaigrette, thousand island dressing and blood orange emulsion to sun dried tomato pesto.

My ritual when eating at a buffet restaurant, is I would scour the entire ground where the 12 open kitchen stations are (this small tummy can't contain too much food at one go, so yeah...I gotta be selective haha). Some of my personal favourites are the Indian stations (SATOO is, after all, famous for its Indian food), the steak, yorkshire pudding and sauteed tomato quinoa from the Western section.
