Bali dining guide: best new bars and restaurants in Seminyak, Uluwatu and Ubud

August 10, 2016 Amy Nicholson

With so many incredible bars and restaurants in Bali, foodies are certainly spoilt. This month we have even more oh-so-amazing eateries to add to the list. From tapas to authentic local treats, here are our fave new tables for August…

The Warung, Uluwatu

The Warung is the new place to go for wholesome, authentic Balinese and regional Indonesian food with some modern twists. Vegetarians will appreciate all the goodies on the menu for them too. Located within the fabulous Alila Villas Ululwatu, it is now a stand-alone restaurant with sweeping ocean views: take an outdoor table so you can really enjoy the warm Bali breeze!
The Warung, Jalan Belimbing Sari, Banjar Tambiyak, Desa Pecatu, Uluwatu, p. +62 (0) 361 8482166.

Moon Rabbit is the new place to go for delicious dim sum

Moon Rabbit, Petitenget

With its bright red door you can’t miss Moon Rabbit.  We love the look of this dim sum and liquor bar in Seminyak, with its vintage furniture, high ceilings and a modern opium bar.  This up-market venue serves up delicious food including the must-have stir fried beef kwetiau and uniquely crafted cocktails such as their espresso martini.
Moon Rabbit, Jalan Petitenget 43C, Kerobokan, p. +62 (0) 361 474 0674.

Sunset on Seminyak, Seminyak

Come and enjoy dinner (served between 5-10pm), at this relaxed beach retreat where comfy bean bags, chilled music, and a panoramic view of the surf awaits you.  Watch one of Bali’s famous sunsets as you enjoy a fruity cocktail and a shisha!
Sunset on Seminyak at Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort, Jalan Abimanyu (Dhyana Pura, Seminyak, p.+62 (0)361 737 773 ext. 7402.

No Mas has a dark, dingy vibe that we are totally digging

No Mas, Ubud

No Mas is one of Ubud’s newest watering holes and we love it!  The moody, vintage feel makes it perfect for a date night, and the second floor balcony is the prime spot for cocktails and people-watching.
No Mas, Jalan Monkey Forest, Ubud, p. +62 (0) 361 9080 888.

Café Kim Soo, Seminyak

This gorgeous homewares shop has opened a cute little café (loving the chic monochrome décor), so you can now ‘browse and graze’  at the same time… sounds like the perfect place for a girls’ day out to us!
Cafe Kim Soo, Jalan Kayu Aya 21, Seminyak, p.+62 (0)821 4578 043.

We are loving the decor, especially the lighting, at Betterment Tapas Bali

Betterment Tapas Bali, Seminyak

This newbie in Seminyak is the perfect place for dinner with your squad – order an array of different dishes and graze your way through delicious treats such as their crispy octopus and braised pork belly. Head down between 6-9pm and you can enjoy their ‘buy two and get one free’ on cocktails and tapas!
Betterment Tapas Bali, Jalan Petitenget No.105, Seminyak.

The BARber, Jimbaran

The BARber is a speakeasy that recently threw open its (hidden) doors within The Sintesa Jimbaran. Find the secret entrance at the Barbershop and enter a world of live music, happy hours and delicious cocktails such as the refreshing Lychee Lemon Basil. One for a man-date!
The BARber at The Sintesa Jimbaran, Jalan Kencana No. 1, Jimbaran, p.+62 (0)361 472 5333.
