The Grand Hyatt Jakarta recently proved that they have one of the finest culinary teams in the city with significant wins at the recent Salon Culinare competition which was held in April at Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran. Chefs from the Grand Hyatt cleared up with 5 silver medals, 15 bronze medals and 5 diplomas in categories that varied from “Tabasco Seafood Challenge,” to “5 Course Set Dinner Menu: Fine Dining,” to “Fusion Sushi Platter”.
In this annual event, which showcases culinary skills, creativity and expertise, the Grand Hyatt were awarded “Overall Best Team,” a glowing accolade indeed in such a diverse gastronomic environment as Jakarta.
Executive Chef Rolf Knecht said, “This is the first time we have had such great success. I am proud of the achievements the team made in this prestigious competition and they are a great asset to the hotel. I hope they keep up the good work and remain culinary stars, not only in such competitions, but in our guests’ hearts.”
